Station neighbourhood and family properties
Each property type has different access. The client checks building rules and reports parking, floor and storage areas.
Garage, basement and balcony contents should be included in the volume.
Near the station or in a newer building, management may require a service entrance or elevator window.
For houses, garage and yard items can represent a meaningful part of the load.
What needs checking near the station neighbourhood?
The City presents the station TOD area as an urban development project. Its location does not establish an individual building's moving rules. If your home is there, ask management about the authorized entrance and the route between the locker, elevator and loading area.
For a house, make a separate list of yard and garage contents. When moving from a house to a condo, identify what will not follow you; the size of the former home may not represent the inventory being transported.
The City also publishes winter parking information. For a cold-season date, check applicable notices rather than assuming a street space will be available. Condo instructions remain a separate check.
