Office Moving

Workstations and office furniture planned around access and business requirements.

Office move planning around a table

An office move depends on a clear layout plan: desks, chairs, filing cabinets, shared rooms and equipment need identifiable destinations. Building access and IT recommissioning are separate workstreams that should be coordinated.

DTHV can handle confirmed furniture and box-moving tasks. Technical disassembly, cabling, servers and reconnection should be prepared by the business or its specialized providers.

FOR YOUR PROJECT

When this service may be useful

A few practical situations to identify when you submit your request.

New office address

For moving a team to new premises using a workstation or department plan.

Different floor

When the building stays the same but elevator access and setup order matter.

Internal reconfiguration

For clearing, consolidating or rearranging work areas without changing address.

How will each workstation reach the right space?

Assign each workstation a destination area and use matching labels on its boxes and furniture. A simple room plan is more useful than names with no destination. Identify meeting rooms, shared spaces and records separately.

Do not leave computer preparation implicit. Have the responsible person identify equipment to disconnect, backups to complete and anything travelling separately. These preparation suggestions are not an offer of IT migration services from DTHV.

PREPARATION

Prepare the project before moving day

Accurate information supports a realistic scope adapted to the actual access.

  1. 1Number each workstation and its destination on the floor plan.
  2. 2Back up data and have devices disconnected before movers arrive.
  3. 3Empty or lock filing cabinets as instructed.
  4. 4Confirm docks, elevators, access cards and contacts at both sites.
PROCESS

A clear step-by-step approach

1

Workstation mapping

The customer supplies the match between departure workstations and arrival locations.

2

Furniture preparation

Dismantlable items included in scope are identified and their parts grouped.

3

Batch transport

Goods are grouped according to the labelling system selected by the business.

4

Plan-based placement

Furniture is directed to planned areas under the customer representative’s supervision.

Which building requirements belong in the request?

Share loading-dock or service-door instructions, usable elevator dimensions and hours confirmed with management. Check who can open the destination premises as well. An employee access card does not necessarily authorize entry to delivery areas.

If confidential records or sensitive equipment are involved, define their handling arrangements within your organization before the move. No particular confidentiality protocol or storage service should be assumed without an agreement.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about this service

These answers are general; the written quote confirms the scope that applies to your project.

Does DTHV reconnect computers?+

No, unless a separate arrangement with a qualified resource is expressly confirmed. The business should plan for its own specialists to back up, disconnect, cable and restart systems.

How can we reduce confusion at arrival?+

Use one code for each workstation, box and zone, then repeat it on the new floor plan. Appoint someone who can answer placement questions.

Do filing cabinets need to be empty?+

That depends on construction, weight and the confirmed handling method. Describe the cabinet format and follow the instructions provided before moving day.

Can we request evening or weekend work?+

You can state a preferred window. It remains subject to availability, building rules and written confirmation of the scope.
