A residential move may involve a studio, condo, house, or a change of address between municipalities. Volume, access, carrying distance and furniture that may need to come apart all affect the preparation.
DTHV gathers those details before the planned date so the project can be organized appropriately. Customers remain responsible for confirming building rules, elevator bookings and any parking authorization that may be required.

Moving the whole household or only some belongings?
Describe a residential move by what is leaving, not just the number of rooms. Separate furniture you are keeping, items staying behind and belongings going to another address. A finished basement, garage or shed can add a substantial inventory that the home description does not show.
If household members are taking items to different destinations, prepare separate lists. Mention that arrangement when requesting a quote rather than assuming multiple deliveries are included. Photos can explain volume and access, but they do not replace an inventory.

Prepare for arrival as well as departure
Label boxes by their destination room and identify furniture whose dimensions may cause a problem in the new home. Set aside anything you will carry yourself. This helps define a specific scope without promising a fixed duration or a complete installation service.
Distinguish packing and any required disassembly from transportation in your request. Check what was actually agreed before leaving those tasks until moving day.
